Told I shouldn't be feeding him like a bird

Hi mums,

My son is 15 months and recently he cries whinges in his highchair.. He only eats a little and won't eat the rest.. He eats while he walks around or is playing in his play room. I have asked a nurse for advice.. She told me this is bad.. I shouldn't be feeding him like a bird in his playroom. I just did whatever it took so he eats.. Gets his daily nutrition. She said i have to be firm with him... It wasn't much help.. What should i do?
My partner said im over feeding him. But even at breakfast he only eats half a banana and then whinges. Here is what I feed him during the day.

Breakfast
Small handful of Blueberries
Half a Banana
2 weetbix in cows milk

Lunch
Small slice of fried chicken
1 Slice of grain bread
1/3 avocado
1 pouch of natural yogurt

Dinner
Egg omelette with chopped spinach bokchoy mushrooms and Zucchini
2 slices of thick sweet potato
1 pear
1 cheese stick
