Ready Steady Go Kids is now up and running in Tasmania! They invite children aged 1.5 to 6 years to come along and find a new favourite sport, with classes available at the Moonah Sports Centre and The Cricket Hub Tasmania in Kingston.

Plus, they can give their first class a go for free. Simply head over to the Ready Steady Go Kids Moonah website or Kingston website to learn more and sign up for your free trial.

Ready Steady Go Kids is Australia’s leading multi-sports program for young children. This physio-designed program will help them develop their essential fine and gross motor skills, confidence, balance and coordination. It’s the ideal introduction to sport in a non-competitive environment, yet to kids, it’s all about having fun and meeting new friends.

Children will benefit from classes with small student to coach ratios and activities based on typical age development. This means kids can take part safely with their peers in one of four different classes reflecting a progressive program listed below:

  • Get Ready (1.5-2.5 yrs)
  • Ready (2.5-3 yrs)
  • Steady (3-4 yrs)
  • Go (4-6 yrs)

  • With guidance from engaging coaches and classes featuring fun activities and colourful equipment, children will learn the fundamentals of 10 of Australia's most popular sports. These are:

  • AFL
  • Athletics
  • Basketball
  • Cricket
  • Golf
  • Hockey
  • Rugby
  • Soccer
  • Tennis
  • T-Ball

  • Each term covers five different sports in two-week blocks, so there’s always a new activity to learn. Classes run for 30-45 minutes (depending on age group) indoors, meaning you there’s no need to worry about getting too hot or soaking wet outdoors.

Did you know that Ready Steady Go Kids also offer Early Learning Centre incursions? They bring the sports to local kindergartens and day cares, so check out the website if you are interested in this option.

Plus, Ready Steady Go Kids also offer birthday parties for a truly memorable event. The birthday boy or girl can choose 2 sports to try, making this a fun way to try a new sport whilst celebrating a special occasion with friends.

Ready Steady Go Kids might just lead to a lifelong love of sports for your child. Bring them along for a free trial and give it a go. You can join the Ready Steady Go Kids Facebook Group or follow them on Instagram to stay up to date will all the news.
