Career move or another child?

I'm wanting a career change but also wanting another child. If I change jobs (FT to FT) and get pregnant, is it true I won't get Maternity Leave from Gov for not being with that company for over 12 months or do I just have to be in 12 months FT employment and doesn't matter about the company change??
